Get Out: Hunt for Easter Eggs, Take a Hike

Check out the five things to do during the weekend of April 22-24.

EXPLORE:
When/Where: 1 p.m.–3 p.m. Friday at the August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area, 2360 Highway B in St. Charles
Why Go: View the earth in one of its finest seasons, spring. Bring cameras, journals, and/or field guides. To help you get the most out of nature, please dress for the weather. Reservations are required and can be made on the day of the event.

When/Where: Noon–6 p.m. Friday, 1 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday at the
Why Go: The PrimeXpo Jewelry and Gift Show will extensive lines of jewelry and gifts. The show is open to the public.

BUILD:
When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday at
Why Go: Build a wooden project for free and pick up a few woodworking skills. Each child will also receive an apron and goggles. This week's featured project is a birdhouse. This event is for kids in grades 1-5.

PLAY:
When/Where: 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Saturday at
Why Go: Bass Pro Shops is holding a free Easter event for kids. Make and take a foam magnet Easter egg decoration and stick around for the egg hunt that begins at 1 p.m. There will be free photos with the Easter Bunny, too.

DANCE: Dr. Zhivegas at Ameristar Casino
When/Where: 7 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday
Why Go: Check out the 70s disco and variety performance from local favorite Dr. Zhivegas playing at the Bottleneck Blues Bar.
