Faith Ringgold "Children's Books and Story Quilts" Lecture

  • When/Where? Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. at the  on 520 North Main Center. in St. Charles. 
  • What? World-renowned painter, writer and quilter Faith Ringgold shares stories of her art career, with a focus on storytelling and the combination of image and text. Ringgold’s art is exhibited all over the world, including collections in the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum and the St. Louis Art Museum. Her lecture is free and open to the public, but a ticket is required at the door.   • When/Where? Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. St. Charles Community College, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. in Cottleville.
  • What? This performance will recreate the patriotic radio shows of World War II, featuring news, music, comedy and conversation of the war years from 1941 through 1944. Tickets are available at the SCC website or at 636-922-8233. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for veterans, senior citizens and students and free for SCC students, faculty and staff with current ID.

Moonlight Bike Ride

  • When/Where? Friday, Nov. 11 from 6-8 p.m. at Broemmelsiek Park, 1615 Schwede Rd. in Wentzville. 
  • What? Grab your bike and explore the rolling hills and open plains on a moonlight bike ride through the park. St. Charles County park staff and experienced guides will lead the way for this event open to cyclists of all ages and skill level. Saturday

The McNair Cross Country Classic 5K

  • When/Where? Saturday, Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. at , 3050 Droste Rd. in St. Charles. 
  • What? The Fleet Feet Runners' Club hosts the McNair Cross Country Classic. Entry fee is $20. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers as well as the top three finishers.

St. John United Church of Christ Fair Trade Market

  • When/Where: St. John United Church of Christ, 405 S. 5th Street, St. Charles, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday
  • What? Stop by to check out fairly traded, engaging handcrafts created by artists in the developing world. Proceeds go directly back to people in those countries where they help pay for food education housing and healthcare.

The Time Traveler's Ball

  • When/Where? Saturday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. at 66 VFW Ln. in St. Charles. 
  • What? This fundraising event for the Living History Company features a catered dinner, dancing, raffles and photo opportunities with period backdrops and props. Costumes or period garb are encouraged but not required. A DJ will provide music, and guests will learn period dances like the waltz, polka and Charleston. Tickets are still available for the dance are are available online.

Ed Asner Stars as FDR at Lindenwood University

  • When/Where? 8 p.m. Sat. Nov. 12. at J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts, 2300 West Clay St.
  • What? Watch Ed Asner take you through FDR's Whitehouse Years. Cost is $42.

STL Boutique Moms Fall Show

  • When/Where? 10 a.m. Nov. 13, The Columns Banquet Center, 711 Veterans Memorial Parkway
  • What? STL Boutique Moms Fall Show features products from St. Louis stay at home moms.

Crescendo Concert Series: Pianist Daniel Schene

  • When/Where? 4 p.m. Nov. 13 at St. John United Church of Christ, 405 South 5th Street, St. Charles, MO
  • What? Pianist Daniel Schene, a frequent guest of the St. Louis Symphony's Chamber Music Concerts, will perform on Sunday.

Dr. Mason's Aeolian Minstrels Perform

  • When/Where? 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at Boone's Colonial Inn, 322 South Main Street)
  • What? Using the instruments, songs, sounds & jokes of the middle of the 1800’s, “Dr. Mason’s Aeolian Minstrels” will take you back to the era of the Traveling Minstrel Show, the Second Great Awakening, and the American Civil War.
