Five Things To Do with Kids This Week

We've got a few ideas for you and the kids this week, so check out our kids planner.

When/Where:  This event lasts from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 8 at the Butterfly House. It also occurs weekly on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Why Go: These butterflies, native to Central and South America, can only be seen around St. Louis at places like the Butterfly House.

Pricing: Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children ages 3 to 12. Children ages 2 and under can get in free.

Math Adventures with M&Ms

When/Where: These adventures take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. March 9 at the McClay Library branch. 

Why Go: This activity will have first and third-graders practicing simple math with M&Ms.

Pricing: This event is free of charge. 

When/Where: The benefit takes place Saturday, March 12 at the Bridgeton Machinists Hall, 12365 St Charles Rock Road.

Why Go: There will be Texas Hold ‘Em and mouse races for a good cause.

Pricing: The cost of admission is $25 for adults; children younger than 12 are $15. For those wishing to participate in Texas Hold 'Em, the entry fee is $50 (includes admission into the Mouse Races).

When/Where: The tea party takes place at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 13 at .

Why Go: Everyone loves the American Girl Dolls. 

Pricing: Children's admission is $19.99. Adults' admission is $17.95. Reservations are required.

Family Book Club Discussion: Junie B. Jones

When/Where: The discussion will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. March 12 at Kathryn Linnemann Library.

Why Go: School-age kids and their parents will enjoy discussing a title from this popular series, participating in an activity and a snack.
