Now, onto news from the neighborhood:
- Read a recap of the Duchesne/Borgia women's basketball game on Tuesday on emissourian.com. Duchesne Pioneers lost to Borgia, 49-45. The Pioneers were able to beat Washington at home on Thursday, however, after the Jays had 35 turnovers. Duchesne beat Washington 56-44, according to an article in emissourian.com.
- The St. Charles Suburban Journals followed up on our article about the city's move toward putting David Leezer in charge of both the city Convention and Visitors Bureau and the department of economic development.
- St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann spoke during a "State of the St. Louis Region" panel on Friday that was hosted by the St. Louis Business Journal. Ehlmann says that both transportation and manufacturing jobs will help move the economy in St. Charles County, according to the blog post on the event.
- Several people will be inducted into the St. Charles County Amateur Sports Hall of Fame in March. New inductees include Kevin Jett and Roger Hodapp. See the St. Charles Suburban Journals for a full list of honorees.
- KSDK had a feature story about the group of students at Lindenwood University who hope to compete in the Olympics. See the story on the weightlifters here.
