Considering a Career Change? Workshops Explain Teacher Certification
The nonprofit American Board helps working professionals—such as engineers, scientists, scholars, and historians—to new careers in the classroom.
Often, when professionals are looking for a career change, they want to help kids and give back to the community by becoming a classroom teacher —but they don't have the coursework for certification.
The American Board, a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization, is offering several workshops in the area to explain Missouri teacher certification, and they're inviting prospective teachers and professionals to attend.
Those workshops are:
- June 12, 4:30 - 7 p.m. in St. Peters at Spencer Branch Library, Room 112
- June 13, 4:30 - 7 p.m. in O'Fallon at Middendorf-Kredell Library Room A
- June 18, 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., in Maryland Heights at Maryland Heights Centre
- June 29, 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in St. Charles at Kathryn Linnemann Library
Pre-registration is available on the American Board website.
