5 Things to Do May 14

Here's what's happening around town.

  • Strap on your tennis shoes and drive to Klondike Park in St. Charles County, near Augusta, MO. It's a bit of a drive, but you can feel good getting out in the sun and volunteering to clean up Hogsback Trail, which was severely damaged during storms and is closed indefinitely. St. Charles County Parks Department members are leading the clean up between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
  • Pop out to New Town St. Charles for their which is under the event tent in the center of the neighborhood between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.
  • Walk around Main Street St. Charles with your camera in hand and get some photographs to submit to the Rendezvous in St. Charles Photo/Art Contest. First place winner gets $500, second place is $300 and first place is $150. You can submit up to three photos, but they must be in by May 31. 
  • St. Peters Parks Department is hosting a at the Woodlands Sports Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first 100 kids get a free kite-building kit. 
  • Head to Llywelyn's around 9 p.m. to hear McLovin' perform. Show starts at 10 p.m., $5 cover charge.
