2013 Festival of the Little Hills Kicks off Friday

Check out the entertainment schedule, see where to park and why you should leave your dog at home.

The 2013 Festival of the Little Hills starts Friday in historic St. Charles. More than 250,000 people are expected to converge over the three day festival for live music, food and crafts.

The high attendance is one reason the city council decided to keep in place a city rule banning dogs from Frontier Park during city festivals

Dogs are allowed on the Katy Trail, which runs right next to the park, however.

Large white signs are posted at the entrance to Frontier Park, reminding guests about the no-dogs rule, and that beer must remain in the park.

The beer tent and most entertainment is located in Frontier Park, while craft booths run through the park and on Main Street.

The Festival of the Little Hills runs from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

See where to park for the Festival of the Little Hills and information about shuttles.
