Missouri Girls State Swimming and Diving Championships

  • When/Where? Friday-Saturday at  , 5200 Mexico Rd. in St. Peters.
  • What? The 2012 Missouri State Swimming and Diving Championships are coming to St. Peters, with three separate sessions. for more information.

  • What? United Services Early Childhood Center will host our 4th Annual Trivia Night.  Doors open at 6 p.m. and trivia begins at 7 p.m.  Cost is $160.00 for a table of 8 and includes beer, soft drinks, light snacks and lots of fun. Author Book-Signing Event

 

  • When/Where? Saturday, February 18, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the . 
  • What? Paintings, collages, watercolors, and oil pieces can all be recreated into a masterpiece of a book in “The Great ReMake Book Class,” taught by M.J. Goerke at the Foundry Art Centre. The book-making workshop is $55; $50 for FAC members. A small supply list will be given when you enroll in the class. Live Music/Dance

  • What/When/Where? Saturday, Feb. 18 at 3:30 p.m., the "Fifes, Pipes and Drums" of Freezer Jam 2012, a national conference of Fife and Drum Corps, will parade through downtown St. Charles starting at the  and ending at the corner of Boone’s Lick and Main.

3 Central Jazz and Gospel Benefit Concert

  • When/Where? Saturday, Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. at , 131 Gamble St. in St. Charles.
  • What? Hear jazz and gospel tunes for a good cause this weekend. Jazz trio 3 Central and gospel singer Erica Reed will perform along with comedians Brother Dré and Davey Dave, to raise money to help a St. Charles organization provide shelter for homeless men during the winter. Admission is $15. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Traditional Irish Music Session in St. Charles

  • When/Where? Sunday, Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. at , 101 N Main St. in St. Charles.
  • What? Hear local musicians play traditional Irish music every third Sunday of the month from 2-5 p.m. All musicians familiar with Irish music are welcome to come and play and veryone is welcome to come and listen.

Lindenwood University Dance Concert

  • When/Where? Friday, Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the , 2300 W Clay St. in St. Charles. 
  • What? Lindenwood University Undergraduate Dance Students present a dance concert featuring their own choreography, costumes and set designs  at the Emerson Black Box Theater. This event is free.

 

Great Outdoors

"Masters of the Sky" Bird Show at National Great Rivers Museum

  • When/Where? 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Feb. 18, 19, and 20 at the ‎National Great Rivers Museum
  • What? See eagles, hawks, owls and more up close or even watch out as these amazing birds of prey fly over your head during this 45-minute educational program and demonstration. Call 618.462.6979 or go online to order tickets today. Seating is limited.

Great Backyard Bird Count in West Alton

  • When/Where? February 18, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Dresser Island Conservation Area, State Highway 94, West Alton, MO. 
  • What? Join us for a 6.5 mile hike as we look for wildlife along the Mississippi River and enjoy the winter scenery that our big rivers offer so near to St. Louis. We will also participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count during our hike around the island. Reservations begin February 3. Contact: (636) 441-4554.
