SCC Young People's Theatre Presents "It's a Wonderful Life"

  • When/Where? Friday, Dec. 16-18 at , 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. in Cottleville 
  • What? The Young People’s Theatre of St. Charles Community College (SCC) presents a production of “It’s a Wonderful Life." Shows will be held at the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building theater on the SCC campus, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville. Tickets are $8 for all ages. Shows start at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16 and Saturday Dec. 17. There will be daytime showings at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 and Sunday, Dec. 18. 

Toys For Tots Christmas Party at Padavan's NY

  • When/Where? Friday, Dec. 16 from 6-10 p.m. at , 3249 Rue Royale in St. Charles
  • What? Padavan's NY will collect new unwrapped toys for children in need throughout the St. Louis area. This is the 10th Annual Toys For Tots Christmas Party sponsored by The Paladin Group. Complementary food and beverages are available for those who bring in toys.



  • When/Where? Saturday, Dec. 17, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. St. Charles City Animal Shelter, 2835 West Randolph Street, St. Charles, MO.
  • What? City of St. Charles Animal Control is hosting the fifth annual Holiday Pet Adoption Event. Stop by to get a pet photo with Santa from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. Get a gift bag with each adoption. Submit a raffle for a cat and dog basket.

'Twas The Night Before Christmas Storytelling

  • When/Where? Sunday, Dec. 18 at 12 p.m. at , 200 South Main St. in St. Charles 
  • What? Hear the traditional story of "The Night Before Christmas" told my Mrs. Claus in front of the fireplace while enjoying hot cider and cookies.

  • When/Where? Sunday, Dec. 18, 1 p.m. , 1325 N 2nd Street.
  • What?  The fourth annual "Kool Yule" is a leisurely bike ride through old St. Charles and Historic Frenchtown. Decorate yourself and/or your bike up with "holiday" cheer. Think bike bling! You can find battery operated lights in most department stores, they work great on bikes. We will finish before dusk on the beautifully decorated Frenchtown and the cobblestone road of Main Street St. Charles. The holiday lights and carolers will be greeting us as we stroll into old town St. Charles.

  • When/Where? Sunday, Dec. 18, 2 to 5 p.m. at in St Charles.
  • What? An Irish session is an opportunity for musicians who play traditional Irish music to get together and play in an informal setting. All musicians familiar with Irish music are welcome to come and play. Everyone is welcome to come and listen. See the embedded you tube video for an example.

  • When/Where? Sunday, Dec. 18, 3 p.m. , 801 1st Capitol Dr, St. Charles. 
  • What? Join members of First United Methodist Church for community caroling. Meet in the sanctuary at 3 p.m. and divide into groups and then go out into the community to sing our favorite Christmas Carols, when we return to the church we will enjoy hot chocolate sponsored by the Boy Scouts.



  • When/Where? Sunday, Dec. 18, 4 p.m. at , 318 S Duchesne Drive.
  • What? At this time of the year a lot of people are grieving their loved ones. This special service is to acknowledge and honor our sadness as we lift it up to God in prayer, meditation, music and candlelight.

  • When/Where? Sunday, December 18, 5:30 p.m. 311 N Main St, St. Charles
  • What? Someone has killed the Grinch and now Santa's on the trail. Who can imagine the jolly old elf with a belly that shakes likea bowl fully of jelly could ever be a murdere? Come help us discover the real killer. Tickets to the dinner and show are $62.50. Reservations are required. A limited number of tickets are available. For tickets call Karen Godfrey 636-255-6155.

  • When/Where? Sunday Dec. 18, 7:30 p.m. at 1001 S Main Street, St. Charles.
