DESCRIPTION:The joint St. Charles City/County Veteran's day commemoration
  will be held at the St. Charles City Veteran's Memorial\, Bishop's Land
 ing\, at the traditional "11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month" w
 hich signifies the time the armistice was signed ending World War One. T
 he St. Charles Municipal Band will begin the event with a patriotic musi
 cal prelude at 10:45 AM. St. Charles Mayor Sally Faith and St. Charles C
 ounty Director of Administration Chuck Gross will give opening remarks. 
 Keynote speaker will be VFW Service Officer Bob Murphy\, a Vietnam War c
 ombat infantryman. Ruth Scheidegger will sing the National Anthem while 
 American Legion Post 312 will provide the rifle salute honoring all vete
 rans past and present. St. Charles Veteran's Commission Chairman\, Tom K
 uypers\, will emcee.
