Tip Leads Drug Task Force to St. Charles Area Meth Lab

Detectives said the woman charged with making meth bought pseudoephedrine 19 times since November 2010 and had other methamphetamine ingredients in her home.

An anonymous tip led investigators to a a area meth maker, detectives said.

The tipster told officials that a woman was making methamphetamine in her apartment. When detectives checked on Lisa Wood, 50, of the 1700 block of Veterans Memorial Drive, they found she had bought pseudoephedrine 19 times since November 2010.

Drug Task Force detectives said after Wood consented to a search of her apartment, they found several items used to make meth in a bag in the back of a kitchen cabinet.

Wood was charged Wednesday with making or attempting to manufacture meth, a class B felony.
