St. Charles School District Sells Student-Built House

Home sells for $312,000.

The newest student-built home in the Trails of Lewis and Clark neighborhood has been purchased for $312,000, according to Superintendent Jeff Marion. The home was originally listed at $315,000.

The St. Charles Board of Education voted to approve the sale of the home during a closed-session board meeting July 26.

The three bedroom, two bathroom, 2,600 square foot home has oak wood floors, a jacuzzi tub, walk-in pantry and a three-car garage. It's located at 26 Expedition Trail, off of Old Muegge Road.

The district has used Meyer Real Estate to sell the homes built by Lewis and Clark Career Center students for the past several years. Meyer Real Estate will get a 5 percent commission from the sale of the house.

Hi Kalen,
The actual sale price was $312,000 with $4000 back for closing. The net amount = $308,000. The sales price you listed is actually the net proceeds after all sales commissions and fees were deducted. Thanks. Jeff Marion, Superintendent
