City Statue Missing Steering Wheel

A statue in front of the St. Charles city hall was vandalized last Thursday. The helm was broken from the captain statue’s fingers. The statue was donated to the City of St. Charles by the artist. Police said they have not been able to contact the artist to find out the cost to replace the sculpture.

Cars, Pottery Damaged At Lindenwood

On Sunday, five cars and two large planting pots were damaged near the Robert F. Hyland Performance Arena on Lindenwood’s campus. Most of the cars had dented or broken side mirrors. One car’s front and rear windows were damaged as well.

Shoplifters Wanted For Stolen Ink Catridges

Two men are wanted for stealing more than $1,000 worth of ink cartridges from an Office Max last Monday. Employees at the Office Max on Veteran’s Memorial Parkway caught the shoplifters on camera and reported the theft to police after the men left the store.

Student Makes Empty Gun Threat

A Jefferson Intermediate School student reportedly threatened to shoot students with an ak-47 Monday. According to police, the student made the threat after being told that he or she could not work with a friend on a project. The student was brought in for questioning to ensure safety at the school.
