Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck to Speak in St. Charles

St. Charles Patch plans to live blog the event from the Family Arena Friday.

Just days after Sarah Palin announced she does not plan to run for President, she will appear with Glenn Beck in St. Charles in an event called "Defending the Republic."

Palin is the former vice-presidential nominee and Fox news commenter. She spent the summer on a bus tour of the country speaking at Tea Party events and state fairs.

Beck is a former Fox commenter and has a radio program. in Schaumburg, IL last week.

Beck and Palin will talk an expected crowd of several thousand at the on Friday night.

Doors to the Family Arena open at 6 p.m. and the event is expected to start at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Tickets range in price from $26 to $131. FM NewsTalk 97.1 and Hansen's Tree Service are sponsoring the event.

Neither Palin nor Beck has told the station the subject of their speech, said Tony Colombo, promotions director for 97.1.

FM Newstalk's Dana Loesch and Dave Glover will do the introductions and Jamie Allman, the station's morning show host, will act as the emcee.
