Police: St. Charles Man Broke Into Wife's Apartment with Secret Key
Police said the man hit his estranged wife with a stick and stepped on her face during an argument.
A man was charged Monday with entering his estranged wife’s apartment in St. Peters.
David Barbee, 49, of the 1200 block of Harvest Lane in St. Charles, was charged with first-degree burglary.
St. Peters Police said Barbee used a key made without his wife’s knowledge to enter the apartment in the 200 block of Turnberry Place in St. Peters.
According to a police statement, Barbee hit her with a stick in the arm and stepped on her face during an argument.
Bond was set at $25,000.
