Police Reports: 9 Year Old Bitten By Pit Bull

Dog Bites

  • A 9-year-old child was reportedly bitten by a pit bull on North Rue Street in St. Charles between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. June 14. Animal Control was notified.
  • A 42-year-old woman reported a dog bite at a home in the 1200 block of Charwood around 6:30 p.m. June 13.

Cars Parked at Texas Roadhouse Vandalized

  • At least three cars were vandalized on June 14 while in the parking lot of Texas Roadhouse between 7 p.m. and 7:50 p.m. The locks were punched out using an unknown tool. A car charger for Nook, sandles, tennis shoes and swim suits were taken from one car, eight sets of military uniforms including medals and badges were taken from another car and a bottle of wine was stolen from a third car.

Fraud 

  • A 29-year-old man reported fraudulent transactions from two checking accounts with a total of more than $500 taken. He said it may have been a former significant other.

  • Two people were assaulted during a fight at The Wine Bar in New Town on June 13 around 1:15 a.m. One suspect was arrested. 

DWI 

  • Police responded to a call from a gas station in the 2800 block of North Highway 94 about an intoxicated man who may have hit a gas pump around 2:10 a.m. on June 13. The driver was arrested for DWI and driving while suspended. 

Air Conditioners Stolen

  • Someone reported the copper freon pipes to an air conditioner were cut from a house at Charbo Street between midnight and 9 a.m. June 13. The air conditioner unit was pushed over. According to the police blotter, other air conditioner units in the area have been stolen.
  • An outside air conditioner unit was stolen from Housing around 3:15 p.m. June 14. Suspects were seen leaving in a gre or green newer model pick up truck. 

Possible Child Abuse

  • A parent reported possible child abuse of their 15-month-old son who had bruises to his leg. The incident was reported June 13. 

Trespassing

  • Police arrested three people ages 17 to 19 for trespassing at a construction site at the intersection of North Fifth Street and Transit Street around 12:30 a.m. June 14. They were also arrested for minor in possession and resisting arrest by fleeing the area.
