Man Slashed Girlfriend's Wrists, Punched Her in Face, Police Say

St. Charles Police said the couple have nine police reports involving domestic assaults.

A St. Charles man cut his girlfriend's wrists with a razor and punched her in the face Saturday, police said.

St. Charles Police said David Heitmann, 28, of the first block of Pembrook Drive in St. Charles, was drunk when he became enraged for an unknown reason. He punched his girlfriend in the face several times, causing severe bruising and swelling to her face, police said.

During the assault, Heitmann retrieved an eyebrow razor and cut the woman's right and left wrists, according to the police report.

Heitmann was charged Monday with two counts of third-degree domestic assault.

St. Charles Police said there have been nine prior police reports involving domestic disturbances between Heitmann and his girlfriend.

“Both acknowledge there are relationship problems and drinking problems, but neither will get help,” police said in a court document.

Heitmann was being held in St. Charles County jail on Tuesday. Bond was set at $20,000, cash only, and he is to have no contact with his girlfriend.

"Heitmann was charged Monday with two counts of third-degree domestic assault."

WHY only 3rd degree somestic assault, rather than a felony assault?

And make sure my moms killer never sees the light of day also...from the recent "St. Charles man indicted for murder" all of these sick men need to be put away forever...or better yet lock em to the ground, pour honey over them and let the ants have em. This isn't a joke. If these men keep getting slapped they're gonna keep doin it. It seems to be too late by the time law enforcement will get involved. That's sad!

I am the victim in this case. As of 1/30/13 they released him from custody on probation and now me and his children are homeless and carless. Justice right?

An eyebrow razor? Eyebrow razors are not a sharp blade...the only thing it would do is slightly scratch the skin.
