Lindenwood Student Wins Contest to Become Host on 101 ESPN

Brett McMillan will host a program on the all sports talk station.

Brett McMillan, a student at Lindenwood University, won a 101 ESPN Radio contest to find a new weekend host, beating out more than 170 competitors who auditioned over the past few weeks in events held at SIUE-Edwardsville.

“When this started, we would have been really happy with any of the final eight– and most of the rest of the sixteen finalists," Sterlng said in a station press release. "In Brett, we think we have found exactly what this competition was designed to find – a host that is really good today, will be better down the road, and someone we would not have found otherwise.”

According to the station, McMillan's program will begin in April.
