Have a Business in St. Charles? Claim Your Page

If you own or manage a business in St. Charles, you can claim your listing in the "St. Charles Patch" directory.

St. Charles is home to thousands of businesses that contribute to our community. St. Charles Patch has compiled a comprehensive directory of businesses ranging from restaurants and stores to local government offices. Now we're asking you to claim your listing on Patch.

These local listings including information about each business from the hours it's open to the payment methods accepted. Readers also have a chance to post reviews.

Our team of freelancers wrote these descriptions when we launched in December 2010. We want the business owner to "claim" your page so you can add your own photos and update the information as things change.

We hope you'll post events that happen at your business by using this form here and post announcements about employee promotions or other news in our announcements section.

Here's how to claim your listing:

Owners or managers should search for their business listing and select "claim you listing" in order to make updates to the page. A form will pop up asking for your name, contact information, and proof of ownership.

Within a few days, someone from Patch should contact you to verify your authenticity, and then you'll be approved as the business owner. Once approved, you'll have a "Manage Your Listing" button on the top of your Places page. Click the button to be taken to your dashboard.

Once you log into the dashboard you can choose from a number of options that let you tailor your listing.

Stats:

Check out how many users have reviewed or rated your listing. Email your customers to seek more reviews and link to your page from your Facebook account.

Edit listing:

From here you can change your website information, hours of operation and other basic information. If the other information is incorrect, you can let us know it needs to be updated. The "extra info" tab allows you to add information about the payment you accept, if street parking is available and much more.

Manage Photos and Media:

Add updated photos of your business and select which photo is featured when users first click on your places page.

Reviews:

See what users have to say about your business. Ask your customers to review you and link to this page from your Facebook or website.

Free tools and paid tools:

It's free to post events, add job descriptions or make an announcement about someone who has recently been promoted or named employee of the month.
