Boeing Gets Contract Modification Worth More Than $22 Million
The U.S. Naval Air Command will exercise an option to buy more than 2,000 additional weapons.
Hazelwood-based Boeing has been awarded a modification to a federal contract, and it’s worth $22,775,806, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.
The contract was previously a “firm-fixed-price” contract, but the U.S. Navy exercised an option to purchase 2,384 direct-attack moving-target weapons, including shipping containers.
The work will happen in St. Charles and is expected to be completed in Feb. 2014.
