We have a winner! Francesco's in St. Peters captured the St. Charles County Patch Chowdown Showdown Spaghetti title hands down this week.  

Patch readers were passionate about their pasta. Here's a few of their comments:

• Debbie said: I have checked and tasted almost every place in O'fallon Mo here in st charles county and the only place I have gone to that even comes close to being the best is Rizzos....To be honest with you I make the best sauce and I wish tyhere was a way for me to bottle it and sell it
• Rich Pope said: Franchescas has the best.

Francesco's Family Italian Restaurant ended up with 56 percent of the votes when the poll closed at 5 p.m. Thursday.

• Mama's Grill in Wentzville — 25 percent
• Pio's in St. Charles — 8 percent
