Celebrate the Life of Rev. Marttin Luther King, Jr. Monday January 16, 2012

The St. Charles Ministerial Alliance invites you to celebrate with us as we remember the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 16, 7 p.m. at St. Charles Presbyterian Church, 131 Gamble Street, St. Charles, MO.

A Celebration service will include readings, congregational singing, and power-filled preaching by the Rev. Emery Washington who is a retired Episcopal pastor, civil rights activist, and community builder. Rev. Washington will have an encouraging word to motivate us as we continue our desire to live out the legacy Dr. King left with us--building a more just and beloved community.

The St. Charles Neighborhood Preservation Partnership will be presented with the Community Builder of the Year award.

The evening's offering will be earmarked to assist with the sheltering of our homeless friends during the upcoming winter nights.

Refreshments will follow the service. Please join us in remembering and moving forward with Dr. King's dream.
